The company Impressive Leather was founded in the year of 1980 as a raw leather supplier to the tanneries in Kolkata which was being collected from various territories from all over India. After a few years the founder Mr. MD. Khalil took the risk to process the raw leather into wet blue in other's tannery on job basis. As soon as he was succeeded in the processing of wet blue then he approached to the next stage of tanning that is finishing the wet blues into finished leather in other's tannery. This was the story of first twenty years of business.

After a long struggling in 1999 Mr. Khalil was able to buy a Land of 20,000 Sft and constructed his own tannery, which operates all the stages of a complete tannery that is from Raw hide to finished leather with repute.

By the same year he thought to export finished leather, and leather products too. And one manufacturing unit of leather goods has been set up for leather hand bags, wallets, purses and leather accessories just above the tannery complex.
